My wife Christine and I engaged Erik Graamans (Graamans Building Limited) to build our new house on the beachfront in Waiwera. The house is about 400m² and of above average/superior quality.

Erik and his team of builders and subcontractors (in particular Scott Botherway the Electrician and Boyd Jones of Town and Country Plumbing) have done a superb job.

Not only did Erik complete all if the contracted house-building work on time, but when he knew our sons wedding celebration was to be held at the new house, he also completed all of the extensive decks and the outbuildings, and completed almost all of the landscaping of the section, none of which were part of his contract. That was a massive effort requiring clever scheduling and close monitoring of subcontractors and the many suppliers of the internal fit-out.

Not only do Erik and his team put in the hours, they are careful and diligent workers, and are obviously dedicated to giving great service. It is a large house on a tight site and was difficult to access yet we had no complaints from our neighbours, only compliments.

We cannot fault Erik’s work for quality. It is outstanding. He is a great problem solver and a stickler for detail and getting every little thing right – and for ensuring that subcontractors get it right as well. He has built us a very beautiful house. Labour costs have come in under budget, even when the costs of decking, outbuilding, landscaping etc are added in.

It has been a great pleasure dealing with Erik. He has been very professional always, yet at the same time he is obliging and cooperative. He has also made a lot of helpful suggestions and kept us on the right track, and is easy and comfortable to deal with.

Erik went a long extra mile to have everything completed and beautiful, so we could move in and have a wedding celebration in the house right on the scheduled completion date.  He kept to the schedule even though we foisted many changes on him during the building process.  He has impressed us enormously, and we do not hesitate in giving him the highest recommendation.

Erik and the team at Grammans Building Ltd were the guys who made our building project happen. We had moved a two bedroom villa that needed renovating onto our lifestyle block here in Warkworth. GBL completed the renovation to the existing house and also the new addition to go onto the back of it. 

From the start Erik communicated well and carried on throughout the project doing exactly as he promised. The team worked really hard and completed the build in the timeframe and in the budget that we'd agreed on. 

We couldn't be happier with our new home. The quality of there work was excellent. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity of working with GBL builders, and wouldn't hesistate to recommend them to anyone.

My Wife and I have no hesitation in recommending the very capable services of Graamans Builders. 

Not only did they make all our very complicated alterations to a very high standard, they also did it with as little intrusion as possible into our lives.  We did not make it easy by living in the property while the work was going on, but they were always sensitive to our needs and privacy.

Always willing to listen to our requests, wherever possible they managed to fit these requests into their schedule, and gave us very valid reasons if our requests were not advisable. 

Their sub-contractors used were always of a high standard too, and they made sure that any work done by them was done quickly, timeously and efficiently. 

All building inspections were passed without problems and on time. 

Their time management was amazing, never arriving late, working late if the need was there, and always ensuring the site was left in a tidy manner at the end of the week.

Always cheerful, personable and helpful, we like to think of them as our friends now, and not just a building company we used.  We are more than willing to recommend their services, and if required allow a viewing of their handiwork.  We would not hesitate to use them again ourselves if the opportunity arises.
